Elvis Lives!

I drove home from the grocery store on Saturday to see this beaut in my apartment complex's parking lot - Elvis lives!!! (and was angrily pacing back and forth while talking on a cell phone)  I'm really curious as to whether the guy actually had that big of a gut or if he did, in fact, stuff a beach ball into his polyester suit...
In other news, I finally tried the quail eggs yesterday!  I had THE most incredible homemade brunch of a fresh roll torn open, mashed full of avocado and half topped with slightly overcooked poached quail eggs and half scrambled quail eggs.  It was really, really good!  And the best part, it's been over 24 hours and I haven't felt any ill effects yet!  My body usually takes 24-36 hours to react, so I'm not totally in the clear yet.  But based on the information I read on this website, I'm pretty optimistic that I have my chicken yolk substitute!  Next up, I want to try quail egg creme brulee, lemon curd, and this.  I still plan on minimizing my egg intake as it seems to be working for me pretty well overall. but it's really nice to (hopefully!) have an alternative for the recipes that absolutely cannot be made without yolks...
