Roses are Red, My Hair is Not

I totally wish I could pull off red hair.  Look how gorgeous these ladies look with their warm ginger locks!  Unfortunately I've tried redder tones in my hair before and they did not compliment my skin.  And when I dye my hair darker it just immediately fades back to my standard brown color.  So unfortunately, with as much as I like to experiement with my tresses (I understand that I get this from my grandma who had every hair style and color possible in the 50's through 70's ish....), coloring my hair will never be a way in which I can do so.  Which is really unfortunate because I just LOVE the way red hair looks!
