We have a busy 4th of July weekend planned! We're hitting up
St. Arnold's Brewery tomorrow for their lunch and some board games with friends. On Friday I volunteered to work the morning shift (to be nice to my coworkers) and then we're meeting up with yet more friends for a whiskey tasting followed by a possible cookout with family. Saturday is lunch in town and then yet another cook out with my friend R. We're both major foodies and both supplying food -
marinated flank steak with a lemon, arugula, and feta salad, grilled corn on the cob,
German potato salad, my
homemade guac, grilled peaches with blue cheese, and a
berry cobbler. It's going to be delicious! We're hoping to fit some sparklers and fireworks in there somewhere too! I've been busy compiling a soundtrack for this food and friend filled weekend o'fun. Check out my classic Independence Day Playlist:
