Happy New Year!

Welcome everyone to 2017!!  While I keep thinking that 2016 was a cruddy year due to the political and general world climate, in reality it was kind of an amazing year personally.  I had an amazing girls weekend in New York city in January with my close friends for my bachelorette party (#blizzardbachelorette).  S and I got married in front of our close friends and family in March and then traveled to Marfa, TX (and I finally got to cross it off my bucket list) for our mini-moon after the wedding.

I got to party with my sisters-in-law in Nashville in April for B's bachelorette party weekend.  We celebrated the marriage of my brother D to my now sister-in-law B in Mississippi in May.  We got to spent more time than usual throughout the year with friends and family due to both afore mentioned weddings and associated celebrations such as bachelorette parties and bridal showers.

We finally finished our leisurely renovation of our guest bathroom.  We threw our fourth annual Oktoberfest party in September, which is always so much fun.  I got a new job as a Mission Evaluation Room (MER) Manager in September and am loving it so much!
S and I flew to Italy in October for 2 amazing weeks for our official, belated honeymoon (more pictures coming soon, I promise!).  We got to spend Thanksgiving in Florida with my parents and mom's side of the family.  We adopted a new fur baby, a shepherd mix named Penny who is a total snuggle bug and Pandora's new best friend.  And finally, we spent a week in Florida at the end of the year to celebrate my grandparents 65th Anniversary (!!), Hanukkah, Christmas, and the New Year with my family.

It really was a phenomenal, whirlwind year and I'm so excited to see what 2017 brings!  We already have a ski trip to Colorado planned with friends and are in the process of booking our 1st anniversary trip in March (the traditional 1st anniversary gift is paper and ours is going to be in the form of plane tickets!)  I'll try to keep up a bit better on the blog posts too.  Next up, a recap of our Italy trip in October!
